About the role
- Hire, manage, and coach a team of high-performing Market Development Executives to drive growth and success in their territories.
- Develop and enforce activity and results quotas to ensure consistent and measurable performance across the team.
- Build and refine sales strategies, ensuring alignment with Beam’s overarching goals.
- Use data and reporting to diagnose sales performance, identify market trends, and resolve challenges related to pricing, market penetration, and broker outreach.
- Establish best practices for organizational discipline and broker engagement.
- Manage and nurture several large enterprise relationships with National Broker Partners.
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
Requirements
- Proven success as a top-performing, quota-carrying sales professional, ideally in a B2B or commoditized industry. Employee benefits experience is a significant plus.
- Previous experience in a sales management role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding team sales goals.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and execute effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with using data to drive decisions.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a team.
- Adaptability, creativity, and resilience in the face of challenges.
- Willingness and ability to secure a Life & Health license within 90 days of the start date.
- 7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, including 3+ years in a management role overseeing sales teams.
- Experienced in B2B or channel sales; knowledge of the employee benefits industry is highly preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and tools (e.g., Salesforce, sales enablement platforms).
- A collaborative and personable approach to building relationships with internal teams, brokers, and partners.
- High energy, motivation, and drive to succeed in a competitive and dynamic environment.
