About the role

  • Report to Head of Talent Acquisition (Drew Majkut)
  • Source technical talent, build pipeline, and make technical hires
  • Get fluent in Bastion’s mission, product, and why-now narrative to pitch to candidates
  • Learn and document Bastion’s recruiting stack and workflows
  • Stand up consistent intake, outreach, and interview rigor across active roles
  • Produce reliable top-of-funnel for priority technical roles (target: at least 2 technical hires/month)
  • Improve pass-through by aligning interviews to “work to be done”
  • Make reporting visible to leaders and hiring managers
  • Scale predictable hiring while reducing cost and cycle times
  • Introduce structured experiments and continuous improvement
  • Create durable enablement so hiring managers and interviewers move fast with quality

Requirements

  • Mid-level tech recruiter
  • Strong technical sourcing skills and speed
  • Knowledge of which companies, teams, and individuals to source from
  • Ability to pitch Bastion credibly to technical talent
  • Able to be based out of New York City and commute to NYC 2-3 days per week
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States (must answer authorization questions)
  • Willing to undergo criminal background check (offers contingent on passing)
  • At least 18 years of age at time of application
  • Experience standing up intake, outreach, and interview rigor
  • Experience producing top-of-funnel for technical roles and scaling hiring
