About the role
- Report to Head of Talent Acquisition (Drew Majkut)
- Source technical talent, build pipeline, and make technical hires
- Get fluent in Bastion’s mission, product, and why-now narrative to pitch to candidates
- Learn and document Bastion’s recruiting stack and workflows
- Stand up consistent intake, outreach, and interview rigor across active roles
- Produce reliable top-of-funnel for priority technical roles (target: at least 2 technical hires/month)
- Improve pass-through by aligning interviews to “work to be done”
- Make reporting visible to leaders and hiring managers
- Scale predictable hiring while reducing cost and cycle times
- Introduce structured experiments and continuous improvement
- Create durable enablement so hiring managers and interviewers move fast with quality
Requirements
- Mid-level tech recruiter
- Strong technical sourcing skills and speed
- Knowledge of which companies, teams, and individuals to source from
- Ability to pitch Bastion credibly to technical talent
- Able to be based out of New York City and commute to NYC 2-3 days per week
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (must answer authorization questions)
- Willing to undergo criminal background check (offers contingent on passing)
- At least 18 years of age at time of application
- Experience standing up intake, outreach, and interview rigor
- Experience producing top-of-funnel for technical roles and scaling hiring
- $5k per technical hire made
