About the role

  • Drive sales growth and retain clients by providing and recommending telecommunications, data center, cloud, and managed services solutions to new and existing customers
  • Work closely with Avant’s National Strategic Partners and collaborate with National Strategic Partner account managers, field sellers, team managers, and internal sellers
  • Further develop and sell additional services into a set base of customers and act as primary point of contact for existing service clients
  • Execute regular technology reviews and grow/retain clients by upselling hybrid cloud technologies and managing day-to-day customer relationships
  • Support the sales and development of existing and net new business opportunities within a defined base of existing clients
  • Define transition plans with existing sales team to retain and grow recently sold clients
  • Attain monthly and quarterly portfolio renewal contracts related to revenue goals
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with vendor partners and provide vendor escalation paths/lists to customers
  • Establish framework and recurring cadence to execute regular quarterly business reviews with customers
  • Create client-facing business development activities, perform demand generation, follow-up to business development activities, and participate in client seminars and workshops
  • Coordinate prospect meetings, teleconferences, and communications; create and deliver sales proposals and RFP responses
  • Engage regularly with VAR sales leadership to provide visibility to open opportunities, upcoming renewals, and billed revenue
  • Assist with internal sales activities: CRM opportunity entry & initial account setup, leverage CRM and customer databases, vendor registration on new opportunities, submit pricing requests, issue quotes and sales orders, record sales in CRM, and manage monthly revenue reports
  • Support daily tasks of scheduling customer and deal review calls and other internal administrative duties

Requirements

  • 5 years relevant sales experience in (Telecom, Cloud, Data Center, and Managed Services)
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Extremely well organized with strong attention to detail
  • Technologically savvy; including high familiarity with Word, Excel, PPT and data base applications involving computer use and data entry
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills including consulting, presentation and organizational, oral and written skills
  • Thorough knowledge of "as-a-service" solutions and business models
  • Experience meeting scheduled deadlines
  • Works with customers, vendors, and management effectively
  • Ability to handle, and simultaneously balance, a wide variety of multiple tasks under short time constraints
  • Be able to support others and lead projects as required
