About the role
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders inside organisations, from CDOs and Data Platform leaders to data engineers and analysts
- Serve as trusted advisor for data teams on their journey to building a modern data platform
- Evangelise Atlan and the principles of an agile data culture to the broader data community
- Set up customised demo flows, run trials and POCs, host office hours, and support customers through evaluations
- Be the eyes and ears on the ground, gathering customer feedback and working closely with the product team to influence the product roadmap
- Collaborate with the GTM and sales engineering teams to mature the SE function and drive adoption within major accounts
Requirements
- 10+ years of technical, customer-facing experience, ideally at the Principal SE level or equivalent, working with the largest enterprise accounts
- Deep technical expertise beyond SQL and APIs
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and compliance
- Comfortable engaging with infrastructure, IT, and security teams during rigorous evaluations
- Experience managing complex, long-cycle, multi-stakeholder deals and aligning with CDOs, CISOs, platform leads, and data teams
- Experience designing and running enterprise-grade POCs, ensuring performance, security, and governance needs are met
- Executive presence and ability to lead high-level strategy conversations with executives and deep technical discussions with engineers and architects
- Maturity, judgment, and leadership to expand within major global accounts and mentor peers across the SE org
- Passion for solving problems and strong interest in data
