About the role
- Aretum is a mission-driven organization delivering technology-enabled solutions across defense, civilian, and homeland security sectors.
- Support Office of the CIO of a major government agency to assess separating IT services into an independent entity.
- Analyze technical information from assessments and evaluate financial implications of changes.
- Assess impact on technology cost, staffing quantities and qualifications, transition costs, and lost savings from losing economies of scale.
- Include assessment of more than 25 applications and IT assets across on-premises, data centers and cloud/SaaS.
- Engage as a 1099 independent contractor, responsible for own taxes, insurance, benefits, and equipment unless specified.
- Work with client requirements with flexible hours; no travel required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
- At least 7 years experience in Financial Analysis.
- Expertise in analyzing technical and financial impacts of IT system separation.
- Experience developing comprehensive cost models, including staffing, transition costs, and economies of scale.
- Ability to interpret technical inputs from engineers and translate them into financial implications.
- Strong background in assessing long-term cost savings and trade-offs for modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with federal budgeting and cost analysis standards.
- Preferred: Experience in business process analysis for federal government agencies.
