About the role
- Supervising cloud engineers and the creation of CaC and IaC for both cloud native service deployment and for hosted application deployment to cloud services in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment.
- Supervising the overarching security stance of applications within an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure-hosted enterprise.
- Providing enterprise expertise to cloud-deployed applications, assisting application developers and cloud engineers with integrating application-specific components into available cloud services.
- Working within Agile SDLC framework to include performing work activity within two- to three-week sprints, participating in daily scrums, and utilizing sprint tracking software to track and communicate individual work activity to stakeholders.
- Supervising the building of disconnected systems that can separate from and rejoin cloud environments.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Active Security+ CE (or equivalent IAT Level II cert)
- At least 15 years of experience in: Secure enclave architecture and deployment; Oracle/Oracle Cloud Infrastructure; Proficiency in infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform); Managing the work produced by teams of cloud and security engineers; Providing thought leadership and building long-term roadmaps for the creation and management of in-cloud infrastructures.
- Scoping, work breakdown, and cost estimation for new system capabilities, onboarding and migration efforts.
- Understanding of KPIs and metrics for infrastructure (e.g., CPU usage, network throughput) and security (e.g., access logs, intrusion detection).
- Implementing security monitoring techniques, including anomaly detection and threat analysis.
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and practices (CI/CD) to enhance the continuous delivery of code and system improvements.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with stakeholders, including senior leadership, technical teams, and governance bodies.
- Documenting and communicating technical and governance outcomes clearly and concisely.
- Team collaboration skills to work across departments and with Capability Delivery Teams (CDTs).
- Managing tickets, facilitating meetings, and leading team efforts for smooth onboarding, migration, and governance processes.
- Aligning software development and system engineering practices with federal regulatory requirements, including audit readiness and documentation.
