About the role
- Work directly with Amcor’s Key Accounts predominantly in the shrink overwrap market area
- Provide tactical sales direction and communication strategies to defend existing business and gain new business
- Implement business and marketing plans for assigned accounts and focus on share-of-wallet growth
- Support execution of account strategy as directed by leadership to maintain wallet share and profitability
- Manage account complexities to support customer requirements and anticipate future needs
- Assist in key business negotiations for new opportunities and influence customer decisions
- Deliver sales goals including profitable year-over-year growth for assigned territory
- Build and maintain customer relationships and cross-functional internal relationships to support commercialization and onboarding
- Ensure Amcor and the Key Account adhere to contractual commitments, including inventory management and quality/service KPIs
- Network externally with co-packers, machine suppliers, OEMs and industry associations
- Coordinate Sales Management, R&D, Marketing and Field Service for validation and customer trials
- Manage accounts receivable with assistance from credit department and work with Strategic Marketing on unmet customer needs
- Report monthly performance, drive forecast accuracy, and manage account planning, pipeline, profitability improvements, and churn in CRM
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably within the packaging industry
- Proven track record of successful sales growth and profitability
- Experience with negotiations
- Understands price and profitability
- Ability to operate in fast paced environment, prioritizing tasks and key deliverables
- Solution focused mindset and results oriented attitude
- Project management skills and ability to drive meaningful results
- Business and financial acumen (ability to understand P&Ls and build customer proposals)
- Ability to reduce complexity, cultivate relationships and clearly articulate customer proposals, needs and strategy to internal stakeholders
- Ability to travel domestically 60%+ of time
