About the role
- As an Account Manager II, you'll be the key contact for assigned accounts within a territory.\n
- This role provides tactical sales direction and communication strategies to defend existing business and gain new business.\n
- You'll also work with stakeholders to implement business and marketing plans for assigned accounts.\n
- Additionally, this role is focused on growth of an assigned territory with a focus on growing share of wallet.\n
- Drive for results: Deliver sales goals including profitable year-over-year growth for assigned territory.\n
- Leverage knowledge of Amcor, our products, the industry and competitive market to enable the business to win\n
- Increase business with existing and new accounts through prospecting and networking\n
- Manage the complexities of account(s) in support of customer needs and effectively communicate the needs to the internal organization\n
- Orchestrate and support key business negotiations, supporting Amcor’s interests demonstrating an ability to influence decision and actions\n
- Relationship Management: Grow relationships with customers based upon trust and respect, enhancing the ability to have proactive & complex conversations\n
- Build collaborative relationships between Amcor and your account/s to include: leadership, marketing, R&D, with a view of enhancing sales initiatives and profitably while meeting customer needs\n
- Build and leverage cross-functional relationships to support the share of wallet growth strategies as well as support the commercialization and onboarding process with other key areas (both internal and external)\n
- Network externally to become familiar with key influencers and collaborators within the industry with a specific focus on co-packers, machine suppliers, OEMs, industry associations\n
- Stakeholder Engagements: Coordinates Sales Management, R&D, Marketing and Field Service in support of validation trials and customer trials\n
- Manages accounts receivable as acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department\n
- Work with Strategic Marketing to identify actions to meet strategic unmet customer needs\n
- With leader support, collaborate cross-functionally on the implementation of defined strategy (technology, product management, commercial) for the market and targeted segments\n
- Reporting: Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reporting\n
- Drive forecast accuracy for improved business results\n
- Recognizes competitive insights marketing strategies, pricing structures or product performance and communicates intelligence to stakeholders\n
- Responsible for the management of Account Planning, Pipeline management, profitability improvements, and churn management in CRM tool
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree\n
- 3+ years' relevant experience in technical, sales and general management, preferably within the packaging industry\n
- Experience in working in a large scale business-to-business environment\n
- Ability to travel domestically 60% of time
