About the role
- Responsible for the sales of products, programmes and services in UK and Ireland
- Support and manage Sales Consultants in both regions by working closely with them in the field
- Identify training requirements and implement individual development plans for Sales Consultants
- Lead the sales teams in a positive and engaging manner
- Schedule and conduct Monthly Check-Ins and Quarterly Reviews with individual Sales Consultants and report to the Country Manager
- Hold Sales Consultants accountable for success in their individual areas
- Develop and implement a sales strategy alongside the Country Manager
- Prepare and report budgets and forecasts and initiate measures for deviations
- Observe the market and compile/analyse sales figures, reports and forecasts for the Country Manager
- Organise, create and conduct presentations for sales team meetings
- Be a champion for business values, brands and policies internally and externally
- Support management team in implementing and maintaining policies and procedures
- Represent the company in the market and at trade fairs
- Assist in other areas of the business as required
- Report directly to the Country Manager
Requirements
- Open and curious nature; enthusiastic about innovative products and new approaches to animal health solutions
- Strong desire to support Sales Consultants on farm with their dairy farming customers
- Experience with Sales Effectiveness / Commercial Excellence is highly desirable
- Competence to lead a team
- Entrepreneurial mind-set with the ability to capitalise on opportunities
- Ability to operate and flourish in a fast-growing, target-driven environment
- Degree in agriculture
- Several years of working experience (at least 4 years) in a similar position
- Sound knowledge in the field of animal health for dairy cattle and commercial knowledge
- Excellent commercial awareness, understanding of different sales techniques and channel management
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong prioritisation, time management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical, forecasting, problem solving and cost management skills
- Strong ability to demonstrate resilience
- Competent knowledge of MS Office (Including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Teams)
- Clean driving licence and willingness to travel between UK and Ireland
