About the role
- Travel to medical facilities and hospitals to scan and create digital copies of patient medical records
- Maintain a record system for patient information and gather required documents
- Use electronic systems to collect, organize, and manage data
- Ensure medical records are organized, accurate, and complete
- File paperwork/reports quickly and accurately and store records electronically
- Ensure HIPAA standards and confidentiality guidelines are met
- Interact with medical staff and healthcare providers
- Use company-provided laptop and portable scanner; troubleshoot basic scanner/printer issues
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
- Have a car and active insurance in their name (must provide registration)
- Willing to drive up to 60-80 miles or more round-trip
- Internet access at home
- Basic PC and office equipment skills
- Available 08:00 am to 05:00 pm in their respective time zones
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Previous healthcare setting experience (hospital, clinic, medical office) - preferred
- Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) - preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of medical chart structure and medical terminologies - preferred
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook - preferred
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot printers and scanners - preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - preferred
