About the role

  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide courteous, professional assistance to clients in both English and Spanish
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments
  • Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information into the EHR system
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Conduct follow-up calls for claim status inquiries
  • Provide general virtual front desk support to ensure smooth practice operations
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
  • Use phone system applications (GoToMeeting) and EHR; report to point of contact as assigned

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written) – non-negotiable
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, medical office, or telehealth support role preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and claims processes is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable using EHR systems (training provided)
  • Ability to use phone system applications (e.g., GoToMeeting or similar)
  • Reliable computer, internet connection, and quiet workspace
  • Must complete HIPAA training upon hire
  • Availability to work 25-30 hours per week, Tue–Sat, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
  • Junior–Senior level experience tier requested
