About the role

  • Identify and develop relationships with Consultants, General Contractors, Developers and Property Owners
  • Coordinate involvement of company personnel including support, service and management resources
  • Promote Distech in the market and work with Consulting Engineers and Architects
  • Participate in local professional organizations and project management activities
  • Estimating and proposal writing; maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities in CRM
  • Focus on large projects (one-million square feet or larger) in the New York City metro area
  • Achieve assigned sales quota and profitability expectations; complete client account plans
  • Maintain high client satisfaction ratings and complete required training
  • Influence at all organizational levels and utilize innovative approaches to drive revenue and market share growth

Requirements

  • Currently reside in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah or Las Vegas and understand the market landscape
  • Existing relationships with General Contractors, Consultants and Developers is a plus
  • Four years University or College degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of HVAC and/or Building Automation System sales management
  • Sales management experience in a B2B environment, partnering with Engineers and Architects
  • Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle various priorities
  • Personal computer proficiency and excels in MS Office Applications
  • Extensive experience and capability to speak up and down the channel/construction cycle
  • Experience manufacturing and marketing technically complex controls products through various distribution channels
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Ability to travel and maintain a home-based office if required
  • Technical aptitude to discuss HVAC, BAS, IT, Fiber Networks and Lighting Controls
  • Ability to assist with estimating controls projects and proposal writing
  • CRM proficiency for tracking leads and opportunities
