Lead efforts to drive awareness and sales of Google Nest thermostats and energy services within the energy channel, working closely with the Renew Home team and internal Google team members and stakeholders
Maintain a highly visible presence in driving an impactful sales process and develop high impact growth opportunities
Analyze partnership effectiveness and optimize growth; drive thought leadership to create new opportunities to execute customer strategies for increasing revenue
Develop and cultivate relationships at all levels of the energy sector, partnering with decision makers and key stakeholders
Collaborate with internal marketing and utility partners to develop and implement strategies for optimizing Google Nest thermostat visibility, customer education, and conversion rates on utility marketplaces
Provide guidance and ensure consistency in day-to-day activities of the field sales team
Proactively hunt and generate leads with utility companies and program implementers, developing and growing an opportunity pipeline
Identify and unlock key growth opportunities to scale demand-side management programs
Track and report key impact metrics (e.g., sales, forecast, pipeline) to ensure the team is on track to hit targets
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
10+ years of relevant experience (e.g., energy sector, sales, program management, business development, etc.)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Experience in the demand-side management industry (with load management programs, distributed energy technologies or similar)
Ability to connect market knowledge and channel experience to create large, innovative, net new opportunities
Experience owning and delivering sales quotas, relationship management and reaching strategic goals
Familiarity with e-commerce principles and online marketplace dynamics; experience influencing online sales strategies is an advantage
Strong commercial skills or deal-making experience, or business management experience
Excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with leaders, team members and clients
Excellent judgment and effective problem-resolution skills
Proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and integrity
Experience with CRM platforms and Google Suite of software applications
