About the role
- Lead design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of facilitator-led and eLearning training programs for the commercial medical sales organization.
- Conduct comprehensive and ongoing needs analysis initiatives to identify skill gaps and drive the development of a strategic learning framework and training program outcomes.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning strategy for the commercial team and learning plans for each commercial role aligned with commercial goals and sales KPIs.
- Leverage an instructional systems approach to design, develop, and deliver onboarding, product launches, clinical education, and advanced selling skills programs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Revenue Cycle Management to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and impactful.
- Leverage technology platforms (LMS, virtual training tools, mobile learning) to scale and personalize learning experiences.
- Measure training effectiveness through performance metrics, feedback, and ROI analysis and continuously optimize programs based on insights.
- Coach and mentor field trainers and sales leaders to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stay current on industry trends, adult learning principles, and instructional-design best practices to ensure training remains cutting-edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, ATD) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in learning & development, preferably within medical devices, pharma, or healthcare sales.
- Proven success in designing and implementing sales training programs that drive measurable performance improvement.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design, learning evaluation, and sales enablement best practices.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with LMS platforms, eLearning development tools, and data analytics.
- Familiarity with clinical environments and healthcare provider engagement (preferred).
- Familiarity with Integrity Selling model (preferred).
- Experience supporting field-based sales teams and remote learning models (preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, matrixed organization (preferred).
- Travel: Yes, 25% of the Time.
- Physical requirements: ability to sit for extended periods, work with multiple computer screens, no lifting over 10 pounds without assistance.
