About the role

  • Form and develop a customer base by mapping the market, cold calling, visiting existing and prospective customers, quoting and presenting end-to-end supply chain solutions
  • Target companies from the Chemicals, Technology, and Automotive industries
  • Develop relationships with customers and generate new business
  • Drive business opportunities considering Long Term/Short Term portfolio split, corridor/yield optimization, end-to-end and other VAS opportunities
  • Cooperate with Trade, Pricing Revenue Management and Customer Experience teams to ensure a smooth process
  • Be the voice of the customer within the Company, gathering and channeling input to improve Customer Experience and joint business results
  • Ensure constant flow of opportunities into the pipeline, conduct regular pipeline reviews and align with hygiene standards
  • Monitor industry trends and competition; provide feedback and collaborate on pricing and product strategies

Requirements

  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Highly organized and proactive; capable of managing multiple client interactions efficiently
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in using Salesforce for managing pipelines and tracking performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good experience and very good understanding of global trades, shipping lines and freight forwarding business model
  • Prior working experience in relevant departments in the Shipping Industry is a plus
  • Willingness to travel
