Form and develop a customer base by mapping the market, cold calling, visiting existing and prospective customers, quoting and presenting end-to-end supply chain solutions
Target companies from the Chemicals, Technology, and Automotive industries
Develop relationships with customers and generate new business
Drive business opportunities considering Long Term/Short Term portfolio split, corridor/yield optimization, end-to-end and other VAS opportunities
Cooperate with Trade, Pricing Revenue Management and Customer Experience teams to ensure a smooth process
Be the voice of the customer within the Company, gathering and channeling input to improve Customer Experience and joint business results
Ensure constant flow of opportunities into the pipeline, conduct regular pipeline reviews and align with hygiene standards
Monitor industry trends and competition; provide feedback and collaborate on pricing and product strategies
Requirements
Fluency in Italian and English
Results-driven mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets
Highly organized and proactive; capable of managing multiple client interactions efficiently
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
Expertise in using Salesforce for managing pipelines and tracking performance
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Good experience and very good understanding of global trades, shipping lines and freight forwarding business model
Prior working experience in relevant departments in the Shipping Industry is a plus
Willingness to travel
