About the role
- Research, improve, and provide feedback on content for Scribbr, QuillBot, and LanguageTool websites
- Analyze search results and search intent for relevant keywords using Ahrefs, Search Console, Amplitude, and Google Analytics and create content briefings
- Critically analyze current content and propose improvements, expansions, or rewrites
- Execute simple link building strategies to improve rankings
- Pitch new content ideas, suggest topics and new categories or topic groupings
- Assist Content Manager II in cross-team collaboration to address content needs
- Track performance of articles, monitor rankings, and initiate improvement ideas
- Analyze content-related bugs with Ahrefs and take initiative to solve them under guidance
- Provide feedback to content writers and managers on basic SEO, language, and content
- Assist other teams (translations, testing products, collaborating on other projects) and support onboarding of new team members
- Contribute to content-related projects (e.g., phrase bank, template bank, example bank) and participate in continuous learning to improve SEO, feedbacking, and training skills
Requirements
- Native-level speaker of (US) English
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2–4 years of experience in content creation, content management, or digital publishing
- Strong understanding of SEO and GEO principles, keyword research, and content optimization tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Amplitude, Google Search Console)
- Interested in AI, AI writing tools, and generative engine optimization
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail and clarity
- Ability to analyze content performance and translate insights into actionable improvements
- Experience collaborating across teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable providing constructive feedback and mentoring peers or junior team members
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and familiarity with content workflows
- Self-starter mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with U.S. culture is a plus (e.g., experience living or studying in the U.S.)
