About the role

  • Manage patient appointments across multiple specialties (primary care, weight loss, OB/GYN, neurology, podiatry, cardiology, pediatrics)
  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and texts from patients
  • Collect patient information and prepare for telemedicine appointments
  • Utilize Navinet and Availity to verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Assist in prior authorizations for medical procedures and treatments through CoverMyMeds
  • Lead patients to process copays and insurance payments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Athena electronic health record system

Requirements

  • Entry/Junior Level experience tier
  • Min. 40 hours/week availability
  • Shift availability between 7am to 7pm or 8am to 8pm EST
  • Willingness to work Monday to Friday or 3-day 12-hour shifts including weekends
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or English
  • Neutral accent preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong and excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using medical practice management software (Athena) - nice to have
  • Experience with insurance verification and prior authorization processes - nice to have
  • Experience with Athena, Klara, Availity, Navinet, CoverMyMeds, RingCentral
