Field Engineer

• responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services including verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation on a wide range of Instron’s products
• provided with a company vehicle, appropriate tools/equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone
• support of well-established service operation
• regional responsibility in the greater Baltimore and Washington, DC area
• occasional travel to other locations in the US may be required, with up to 30% overnight travel

Field Service Engineer

• Perform onsite installation, basic repairs, preventive maintenance, calibrations, updates, and operational qualifications on analytical and laboratory instrumentation
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, vacuum, software, and networking-related issues with support from senior engineers and technical support when needed
• Respond to customer service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Document all service activities, repairs, parts usage, and customer interactions within company service systems
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding service schedules, system status, and repair updates
• Support customer operator training on instrument operation, maintenance, and best practices
• Assist senior Field Service Engineers during complex installations, escalations, and large customer projects
• Manage and maintain assigned company tools, test equipment, service inventory, and car stock
• Travel daily within assigned territory to customer laboratories, research facilities, manufacturing sites, and universities
• Participate in technical training programs, certifications, and self-study to build product knowledge and technical competency
• Collaborate with Technical Support, Applications, Sales, Engineering, and fellow service engineers to resolve customer issues
• Follow all company safety procedures and laboratory compliance requirements while working with high-voltage systems, chemicals, and scientific equipment
• Support flexible scheduling and occasional emergency service coverage based on customer and business needs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Field Service Engineer I

• Perform Preventive & Corrective Maintenance – Schedule, execute, and document preventive maintenance and field change orders (FCOs) on digital scanners and related hardware. – Diagnose root causes, perform repairs and/or part replacements, and validate system performance per SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Installations & Configurations – Lead complete site setups: unpack, assemble, and calibrate instruments; configure networking, middleware, and integration with laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting – Respond promptly to service calls on-site to minimize equipment downtime and maintain uptime SLAs. – Use diagnostic tools and data-gathering techniques to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues. – Operate with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations. – Escalate complex or recurring issues through established channels & procedures for swift resolution.
• Documentation & Compliance – Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and calibration records in our CRM and tracking systems. – Required to carry and monitor the company cell phone and respond during work and on-call hours, excluding rest/meal periods per applicable state law – Manage company resources—tools, parts, and inventory—efficiently. – Adhere to documentation regulatory requirements and established industry quality standards.
• Customer Collaboration – Build strong partnerships with laboratory staff, pathologists, and clinical engineers through clear communication.

Digital Pathology Field Service Engineer

• Spending a majority of your time in front of customers to influence component selection.
• Responsible for utilizing an advanced understanding of the customer needs and technical leadership expertise to champion return on engineering investment.
• Manage supplier and customer expectations by building and developing relationships, keeping stakeholders up-to-date on activities, plans, and progressing towards initiatives.
• Identify key relationships amongst decision makers within suppliers and customers.
• Growing your account base each quarter.
• Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs.
• Understand customer needs and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources to facilitate solutions for customers.
• Apply technical knowledge to influence designs utilizing solution selling, resources, and strategies.
• Identifying solutions and resolutions to customer design needs and issues.
• Monitoring your performance metrics throughout the quarter and taking corrective action as necessary to ensure you are on track to meet or exceed them.
• Presenting technical seminars and workshops around your supplier lines.
• Providing frequent updates to field sales team and being a motivating force around your supplier lines.
• Partner with the sales team across pre-and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting to promote demand creation.
• Technical calibrations & research with sales & other Arrow depts. & Suppliers in support of the customer design.
• Champion return on engineering investment, design win priorities, initiatives, and promotions by obtaining buy-in and support from sales.
• Attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and QBR.
• Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solutions.
• Participate in ArrowEDGE initiatives through branch training and customer calls.
• Organize engineering customer events.
• Meeting with suppliers to review recent customer design activity and identify compelling solutions to promote with those customers.

Field Applications Engineer

• Conduct on-site maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the Skydio X10 Dock products
• Perform preventative maintenance, replace hardware components, and restore systems to operational conditions
• Travel frequently throughout the US, including overnight travel
• Maintain strong communication with internal support teams during tasks
• Update cases and work orders with detailed documentation of work completed

Field Service Technician

• Directly manage all aspects of customer service and care with our clients
• Independently troubleshoot and repair a variety of high-speed cash-handling equipment
• Track and manage parts/tools
• Stay abreast of changes in technical and functional elements of GLORY equipment

• Installs, debugs and provides technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software, mainly on customer premises.
• Provides scheduled inspection, cleaning and other services and performs minor product repairs within an assigned territory.
• Inspects products for correct operation and resolves noted issues and/or escalates according to established procedure.
• Schedules services, completes all required paperwork and works with customers to ensure satisfaction with service delivery and understanding of product functionality.

• Must possess or be able to develop subject matter expertise of STULZ Precision Cooling and Ultrasonic Humidification products.
• Provide Factory Authorized Services including: Start-up, Basic Product training, Commissioning Assistance, Preventive Maintenance, Diagnostic, Break/fix, and BMS interface.
• Accurately report all quality assurance, installation and application deficiencies affecting warranty or unit performance.
• Provide technical support via phone when not scheduled for service.
• Coordinate the status of all service activity with Field Service Coordinators.
• Review in advance any technical information required for scheduled service.
• Minimize costs to the company from service and warranty transactions.
• Thoroughly document all service activity and promptly submit all reports.
• Provide follow-up documentation to customers from site visits for start-up, warranty, and performance evaluations.
• Report all expenses accurately and promptly.
• Maintain vehicle inventory as necessary.
• Available for overtime and off-hour assignments.
• Available for travel as assigned.
• Attend Product Training sessions as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
