• Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for responsibilities assigned, including some evening and weekend availability.

Direct Access Counselor

• The Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) will provide coverage in short-term, surge and on demand situations resulting from the Military needs such as a post-deployment event or to cover an existing assignment for counselors who are absent.
• Provides the full breadth of Adult or Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations.
• These services may include non-medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel at child daycare centers and schools, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues.
• Provides non-medical, short term, solution focused, counseling directly to adults, children, and youth of service members.
• Services include assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources and follow-up as indicated.
• Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities.
• Communicates with Regional Supervisors and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations and in facilities.

Assignment Readiness Counselor – Short Term or On Demand

• Responsible for the hiring, training, supervision, and oversight of Chicago Counseling staff
• Providing documentation quality control
• Signing provisionally licensed and intern clinician documentation as assigned

• Counsel borrowers on options for meeting their payment obligations, explain terms, and arrange repayment plans based on department procedures.
• Discuss financial status, review monthly income and expenses, and determine reason for non-payment.
• Offer Loss Mitigation assistance, and if appropriate, explain options and processes in detail.
• Demonstrate accurate knowledge and strict application of federal regulations and collection laws (FDCPA).

Collection Counselor

• Provides goal oriented in-person and telehealth EAP counseling utilizing brief, solution-focused interventions to clients presenting with various clinical symptoms, stressors, and severity of symptoms.
• Maintains a caseload of assigned clients, primarily individual therapy, with occasional requests for couples therapy.
• Delivers quality and effective counseling services in a manner that promotes positive outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Provides culturally competent care to diverse clients (age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, disability status, etc.).

• Conduct intake assessments to evaluate Member readiness and determine appropriate level of care.
• Facilitate group and one-on-one counseling sessions using Affect’s evidence-based curriculum.

• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
