About the role
- Influence a growing team while acting as a technical guide; speak conceptually, document architecturally and perform hands-on coding when needed
- Design scalable solutions using a mixture of configuration and code to support business functions and product goals, working within platform limits
- Create and maintain Salesforce-centric architecture diagrams (system landscape, ERD, integration sequence flows, login flows) for current and future states
- Communicate with product managers/business analysts, cross-functional development teams, network infrastructure, information security, data privacy & compliance and Salesforce solution architects
- Participate in the entire development lifecycle from intake, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable Salesforce solutions with emphasis on leveraging Salesforce AI capabilities (Einstein, AI Cloud, predictive analytics)
- Support and maintain current Salesforce instance(s), including data model, coding best practices, user permissions, integrations, and security settings
- Design integrations between Salesforce and external systems, identify integration patterns, recommend technologies, and ensure data integrity and security
- Create and maintain technical documentation, solution design documents, technical specifications, data models, and architectural diagrams
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging Salesforce and industry trends, identify opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and automation
- Understand the full extent of the solution and integration components and how they fit into the Salesforce architecture
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges and implement solutions that support business requirements
- Coach and mentor junior technical team members
Requirements
- Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience Architecture, Salesforce delivery and technology implementation in full life-cycle enterprise CRM
- CRM System and Solution Architecture design (functional & technical)
- Design Thinking with emphasis on Customer Journey Mapping and Service Blueprints
- Application and Integration patterns
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or equivalent certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified System Architect)
- General AI certification or Salesforce specific AI certification
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Salesforce platform, including its declarative capabilities, data model, security model, and integration options
- Experience leveraging Salesforce AI capabilities (Einstein, AI Cloud, predictive analytics)
- Experience designing integrations using Salesforce APIs, middleware tools, and custom development
- Ability to engage with senior clients in a business centric, business outcome-oriented dialogue
- Ability to articulate the relevant platform value proposition
- Customer oriented and great at building client relationships
- Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Desire to work in an information systems environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral), presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and management skills
