About the role
- Manage the Zoetis Beef business in the Southern Texas Panhandle (Canyon/Lubbock desired)
- Call on Cattle Feeders, Cow/Calf producers, Veterinarians, Dealers, and Distributor Representatives
- Conduct educational training and producer seminars using strong presentation and selling skills
- Build relationships and influence within veterinarians, distributors, extension, and university personnel
- Manage a broad geographic territory to achieve sales targets and increase market share
- Territory planning and priority setting through data analysis and business plan execution
- Maintain technical and commercial knowledge of beef industry and Zoetis product portfolio
- Collaborate as a team player and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) and/or equivalent experience
- Master’s in animal science or equivalent degree is a plus
- A minimum of 6 months of cattle related experience preferred for Associate Territory Business Manager; A minimum of 3 years of cattle related experience for a Territory Business Manager
- Animal Health experience and knowledge of Dairy/Beef/Equine industry is preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately at least 20% of the time to include some weekends
- In-depth product and disease knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word applications
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive to customer locations across defined geography
- Willingness to work on Beef Operations and with cows for husbandry, treatment and product administration
- Ability to quantify and qualify differences among Zoetis products and competitors
- Presentation and training skills for producer seminars and accounts
