Foster the lifetime commercial success of product line(s) and act as the product champion within the company
Contribute to portfolio strategy, identify new product distribution opportunities, and pitch new products to the executive team
Generate term sheets with suppliers to facilitate contract negotiation and lead marketing efforts from commercialization to market exit
Work on financial modeling of new project proposals with finance to support go/no-go decision making
Collaborate with regional marketing teams on launches for forecasting, commercialization, campaign creation, and field sales training
Participate in assigned project teams representing global marketing and the voice of customer for new products
Acquire product and customer insights through market research, clinical articles, data reports, competitive insights, and regional input
Generate and execute clear and comprehensive go-to-market and launch plans
Work across internal and external groups on clinical assessments, regulatory claims, surgical technique development, packaging and labeling, marketing collateral, social media plans, clinician education, and sales force education
Maintain high level of product category knowledge by staying current in published information, maintaining regional market contacts, interacting with surgeons, and attending industry meetings
Own major brands and/or sub-segment of the portfolio and cultivate and execute brand strategy
Write clear, concise marketing copy and interact with MarCom teams or agencies to define messaging and visualization for brands and product launch collateral
Requirements
B.A./B.S., preferably Business, Bioengineering, Biology with a Business emphasis, or similar
M.B.A. or advanced science degree preferred
5 years of marketing experience required
Product Management experience in Biomaterials required
Medical Device experience strongly preferred
Proficient in Excel and prepares forecasts and financial models
Strong scientific and business acumen
Upstream Biomaterials product management experience in dental, spine, orthopedic, or other medical device areas
Ability to collaborate with Regional Sales, Regional Marketing, cross-functional teams, and Alliance Partners
Experience in financial modeling (opportunity size, units per year, ASP, COGS, margins, cannibalization analysis)
Experience with market research including quantitative and qualitative surveys and interviews
Ability to join meetings in a wide range of time zones as needed
Ability/willingness to travel 10% - 25%
