About the role
- Onboarding: Ensure new frontline employees have tools, instruction, and feedback; meet with new frontline employees daily
- Developing: Provide timely and consistent touchpoints; review best practices; focus on frontline employee career goals
- Coaching: Identify and address improvement opportunities; collaborate with frontline employees and practice coaching conversations
- Mentoring: Lead by example on safety practices and teach the WM Way
- Performance Management: Conduct Root Cause Investigations for injuries and incidents; ensure consistent discipline and retraining
- Maintain documentation required by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation
- Review and audit route operations documentation daily (DVIRs, driver time and attendance, open tickets) and follow up where appropriate
- Visit customers and customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues and seek service alternatives
- Spend majority of day in the field with frontline employees
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or in lieu of a degree
- High School Diploma (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience
- Successful completion of the WM Route Manager Trainee program
- must be at least 18 years of age
- legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Driver's License Valid Driver's License
