About the role
- Be a legal business partner to Wiz’s revenue teams summarizing and communicating legal concepts and risks in a way that is meaningful for business teams
- Take ownership of the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of a wide range of legal agreements and advise on contract interpretation to accelerate contract velocity
- Close deals in compliance with public procurement rules and under government-wide acquisition contracts
- Seek to understand the context of the positions of Wiz’s customers and the requests from Wiz’s internal clients, and solve problems from their perspective
- Triage a heavy workflow, set appropriate priorities with internal clients, and deliver results efficiently
- Support the continuous improvement of agreement templates and legal processes and work within CPQ and CLM platforms and associated practices
- Manage agreements to comply with company policies and risk tolerance
- Provide top-notch legal service while working closely with other teams and report to the Legal Director, GTM Public Sector
Requirements
- 8+ years of in-house experience (technology company experience preferred) with an emphasis on public-sector contracting and compliance
- Knowledge of data privacy and experience handling data privacy related questions when negotiating SaaS Subscription Agreements (required)
- Familiarity with major government-wide acquisition contracts (GWACs) and procurement vehicles
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- Strong “business-friendly” style; ability to balance legal requirements with practical business solutions
- Ability to structure, draft and negotiate high volume and broad range of contracts including SaaS contracts, professional services agreements, partner agreements and NDAs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently on a remote basis and as a member of a team
- Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems
- Must meet EAR part 772 and ITAR 120.15 definition of a U.S. person and reside in the contiguous United States
