Be a legal business partner to Wiz’s revenue teams summarizing and communicating legal concepts and risks in a way that is meaningful for business teams
Take ownership of the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of a wide range of legal agreements and advise on contract interpretation to accelerate contract velocity
Close deals in compliance with public procurement rules and under government-wide acquisition contracts
Seek to understand the context of the positions of Wiz’s customers and the requests from Wiz’s internal clients, and solve problems from their perspective
Triage a heavy workflow, set appropriate priorities with internal clients, and deliver results efficiently
Support the continuous improvement of agreement templates and legal processes and work within CPQ and CLM platforms and associated practices
Manage agreements to comply with company policies and risk tolerance
Provide top-notch legal service while working closely with other teams and report to the Legal Director, GTM Public Sector
Requirements
8+ years of in-house experience (technology company experience preferred) with an emphasis on public-sector contracting and compliance
Knowledge of data privacy and experience handling data privacy related questions when negotiating SaaS Subscription Agreements (required)
Familiarity with major government-wide acquisition contracts (GWACs) and procurement vehicles
Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in at least one U.S. state
Strong “business-friendly” style; ability to balance legal requirements with practical business solutions
Ability to structure, draft and negotiate high volume and broad range of contracts including SaaS contracts, professional services agreements, partner agreements and NDAs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently on a remote basis and as a member of a team
Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems
Must meet EAR part 772 and ITAR 120.15 definition of a U.S. person and reside in the contiguous United States
