About the role
- Responsible for net new logo or business growth and ongoing development and maturation of partner business
- Drive high revenue growth through channel partners and capture net new logo/business growth
- Guide and advise on strategic product opportunities to ensure competitive growth across Skillable’s product offering
- Research and analyze market trends, opportunities, competitive environments, and potential business alignments for marketplace expansion
- Develop a pipeline list of partnership opportunities and product expansion sufficient to meet and exceed annual growth targets
- Create, document, and regularly maintain partner level business plans
- Responsible for new business acquisition across the US and on occasion emerging international markets
- Participate in development and ideation of strategies to maximize product and brand appeal to target markets
- Work with senior management to explore development of high value vertical markets
- Partner with leadership and cross functional teams on strategic goals and emerging trends
- Analyze and recommend potential opportunities leveraging detailed financial analysis, modeling and business planning
- Regularly monitor the competitive market landscape and analyst reporting to delineate Skillable’s relative position in the region
- Provide regular reporting and business planning updates to Skillable’s GTM management team
- Serve as a subject matter expert across Skillable product offerings and communicate complex material succinctly
- Lead large cross-functional project teams including interfacing with partners from marketing, product, and finance
- Build and develop key relationships across the enterprise to build internal enthusiasm and momentum
- Help guide and influence decisions with proven data across all levels of the organization
- Represent Skillable at industry events and conferences as required
- Support and promote company values through positive interactions with internal and external partners and customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (business administration, sales, etc.) or relevant professional experience
- 10+ years' experience in a senior channel sales or equivalent business development role
- Success in sourcing, closing and managing strategic relationships that make material contributions to annual booking targets
- Experience with contract negotiations with large, enterprise software, training and testing organizations
- Experience building OEM channel relationships, generating six to seven figure per year in revenue
- Demonstrable track record of structuring large, complex software OEM deals
- Deep experience in building strategic partnerships to accelerate new market development
- Demonstrated ability to sell enterprise solutions in a 100% remote environment through strong digital selling skills (written communication, social selling, engaging online presentations)
- Experience working with internal Product owners to design product solutions that meet a partner’s needs
- Experience working cross-functionally and promoting collaborative partnerships to drive results
- Coachability and growth mindset
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to various audiences/levels including leadership through various mediums
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Interest and ability in mentoring and/or training other team members
- Detail oriented and organized; high-level of enthusiasm, integrity, professionalism, and confidence
- Ability and willingness to travel periodically (up to ~10%)
