About the role
- Own the development and execution of technical operations strategies and initiatives to deliver on sales engineering and principal engineering objectives
- Drive and optimize technical operations processes, including operational cadence, pipeline management (for technical pre-sales), and resource allocation for technical teams
- Collaborate with technical and sales leadership to define technical targets, quotas, and goals aligned with business objectives
- Analyze technical performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement and provide actionable insights to technical leadership and stakeholders
- Collaborate with GTM Analytics teams to create and maintain technical performance metrics and dashboards to track KPIs and report to senior management
- Collaborate with GTM Systems teams to optimize technical tool user experience and adoption
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Enablement, Marketing, HR) to ensure alignment on technical operations initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability across global Sales Engineering and Principal Engineering organizations
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to technical operations and recommend innovations
- Report into Revenue Operations with a dotted-line relationship and daily partnership with the WW Sales Engineering Leader and Worldwide Principal Engineering leader
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
- At least 7 years of experience managing operations teams supporting technical functions (e.g., Sales Engineering, Professional Services)
- Proven track record of success in technical operations or sales operations leadership roles
- Experience supporting global teams and partnering with executive leadership
- Deep understanding of technical sales processes, methodologies, and technologies, including cloud, automation, tooling, and data systems
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate technical teams
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), technical automation tools, and analytics platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and collaborate effectively with teams across different regions and functions
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement independently within a technical context
