About the role
- Own a portfolio of existing customers and develop tailored expansion plans to drive MRR growth
- Identify, pitch, and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Payzer's suite of SaaS and payments solutions
- Promote and attach relevant product add-ons, new modules, or feature sets that increase account value and stickiness
- Coordinate closely with Territory Sales Managers for more complex expansions or multi-location growth
- Surface and act on customer insights, usage data, and purchase patterns to proactively engage accounts
- Support and complete renewals as part of the upsell process and flag potential retention risks
- Prepare for movement into a Territory Sales Manager role by learning product catalog, buyer personas, and value selling methodology
- Shadow TSMs, participate in multi-threaded sales discussions, and document wins, expansion plays, and customer objections to build a repeatable commercial motion
Requirements
- 3+ years in a customer-facing growth, sales, or account management role in SaaS, fintech, or payments
- Proven track record of identifying and closing upsell or cross-sell opportunities
- Strong commercial instincts with a consultative sales approach
- Excellent relationship-building and storytelling skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Data-driven mindset: comfortable using CRM, usage metrics, and playbooks to guide customer growth
- Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Gainsight, or ChurnZero is a plus
- Ambition to grow into a full-cycle sales role (Territory Sales Manager or similar) within 12–24 months
