About the role
- Interpret prevailing wage, start of construction and domestic content laws (e.g., Davis-Bacon, IRS classification) and translate them into actionable company policies and procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain the compliance strategy and governance playbook for prevailing wage and tax requirements
- Design and manage Notice & Action Plan (NAP) frameworks to proactively identify, assess, and remediate compliance risks
- Partner with legal, HR, operations, and construction teams to ensure compliance is embedded in contracts and construction practices
- Oversee the effectiveness of external consultants and ensure their work aligns with compliance objectives
- Lead audit planning and reviews; drive executive reporting and risk analysis related to compliance
- Create and maintain compliance documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Requirements
- Deep understanding of prevailing wage law, tax compliance, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Davis-Bacon, IRS classification)
- Strategic thinking and strong judgment in compliance matters
- Risk management and mitigation expertise, including designing and managing Notice & Action Plan (NAP) frameworks
- Experience collaborating across functions (legal, HR, operations, construction) and embedding compliance into contracts and construction practices
- Experience overseeing and managing external consultants
- Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to travel approximately 25% to Juno Beach, FL
