Professionally represent Western Steel Buildings and understand the company mission and guiding questions.
Sell and manage buildings 5,000+ square feet in assigned markets.
Work with the National Sales Manager to implement sales strategies for the assigned territory.
Sell and manage new Western Steel Buildings projects from initial client contact through construction and completion.
Be knowledgeable about all facets of steel buildings from design to completion, including steel erection and concrete work.
Demonstrate proficiency in building project processes: site work, foundation design, electrical planning, lighting, hangar doors, curtain walls, mezzanines, HVAC, fire sprinkler systems, insulated panel systems, custom wall finishes.
Be familiar with steel building applications across geographic locations (industrial, commercial, equestrian, oilfield, indoor agricultural, aviation, etc.).
Proactively identify and establish relationships with potential clients; handle client inquiries promptly (email responses same business day if received before noon; return phone calls within 60 minutes).
Draft purchase orders for management approval, collect deposits, and draft uniform design approval documents and preliminary design documentation.
Work with clients to finalize building design and collect completed uniform design approval documents.
Add value by selling recommended accessories and other items.
Partner with the service team to facilitate building fabrication, delivery, and installation.
Coordinate referral client inquiries to appropriate responses and collect client reviews after delivery and installation are complete.
Travel requirement: approximately 40% travel.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales within the construction industry, preferably with metal buildings or related products/services.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and industry standards.
Be proficient in reading blueprints, site planning, snow load, wind load, and other technical aspects of steel buildings.
Proficiency in internal metal building design software.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and meet targets; strong negotiation and closing skills.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%.
