Identify a target market for new business and develop and establish a book of new business from those relationships
Negotiate, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of a variety of major and complex loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures
Develop business checking and deposit relationships with customers and assist clients with deposit related products and services
Gather and analyze client information to recommend appropriate deposit product solutions
Compile and analyze market research data to develop recommendations regarding products and services focused on needs of target market
Engage in business development activities and solicitation of new business based on the target market
Collaborate closely with treasury partner to ensure seamless client experiences
Call and visit target customers to promote and sell Bank products and services to establish a new book of business
Develop and maintain customer database including calls and results on all new business relationships
Make reports to superiors as required
Interview prospective applicants and request specified information related to loan or credit applications; correspond or re-interview applicants to resolve questions
Perform basic pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests
Gather all information necessary to present a financing request to senior management or Loan Committee for approval; meet with new/potential customers; visit sites of loans; negotiate loan terms and conditions
Coordinate processing of approved loans and ensure loans are processed according to agreement and Bank lending policies
Maintain a superior knowledge of financial industry status and trends and represent the Bank in community and civic functions to develop additional business
Requirements
8+ years of related experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services
Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
Advanced knowledge in all facets of relationship management
Advanced organizational and time management skills
Advanced speaking and writing communication skills
Interest in working with venture-backed technology companies
May require up to 50% travel
