About the role
- Lead design, development, and deployment of next-generation agentic AI systems within cybersecurity
- Lead a team of AI engineers to build robust, scalable, and ethical AI solutions
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization, improve processes, and reduce cost
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and mitigate risk
- Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications, system components, tools, utilities, models, simulations, and analytics
- Resolve coding, testing, and escalated platform issues
- Ensure compliance and risk management requirements are met and implement key risk initiatives
- Mentor less experienced software engineers and promote knowledge sharing
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Partner with production support, platform engineering, product managers, and cyber operations
- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and developing proofs-of-concept and pilots
- Maintain high-quality documentation of architecture, design decisions, and patterns
- Lead training sessions and contribute to internal best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience
- Specialty Software Engineering experience may be demonstrated via work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Hands-on technical leadership and innovation in AI/ML for cyber use cases
- Hands-on experience building and scaling GenAI solutions and agentic workflows
- Experience applying GenAI and intelligent automation for discovery, documentation, design generation, code scaffolding, and test automation
- Experience evaluating emerging technologies and developing proofs-of-concept and pilots
- Experience with threat detection, anomaly detection, and response automation use cases
- Risk management and compliance oversight experience ensuring models comply with security, privacy, and ethical AI principles
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, platform teams, and cyber operations
- Mentoring and knowledge-sharing experience
- Ability to resolve complex coding, testing, and platform issues
