About the role
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles in software engineering and adjacent domains
- Partner directly with the VP of Software and hiring managers to define needs, craft job descriptions, and calibrate candidate profiles
- Proactively source top-tier engineering talent through outbound outreach, networking, and events
- Drive a world-class candidate experience from first contact to offer acceptance
- Optimize interview processes, scorecards, and tools for efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with People Operations and HR to scale recruiting systems and infrastructure
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives across engineering channels and communities
Requirements
- Extensive full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally in high-growth tech or robotics companies
- Proven success sourcing and hiring for software engineering roles in competitive markets such as the Bay Area
- Strong grasp of technical concepts and fluency in assessing candidates across embedded systems, firmware, and core software engineering
- High agency, low ego—able to operate independently and deliver high-impact results
- Creative thinker with the ability to question and refine talent acquisition strategies
- Prior experience recruiting in robotics, hardware, or deep tech is a plus
- Technical background or education (e.g., CS degree, bootcamp, or hands-on projects) is a bonus
- Experience with employer branding or talent marketing in tech communities is preferred
- Ability to work on-site in Palo Alto, California (job location is on-site)
