Assist the project team with administrative and engineering functions associated with construction projects
Assist with job office set up and initial set up of CMiC (Submittal Log Registry)
Prepare and maintain Submittal Logs and RFI Logs; enter RFIs in CMiC and distribute to project team members
Assist the project team with the initial set up of PlanGrid to organize contract documents and manage progress photo documentation
Assist in posting RFIs to Contract Documents and maintaining accuracy of project as-builts
Update Material Procurement Log and assist with expediting procurement of materials/equipment
Compile contract closeout documents (O&M manuals, As-Builts) and assist in creation and organization of closeout binders
Attend project meetings and assist in preparation/distribution of meeting minutes; assist in preparation and distribution of punch lists and weekly maintenance in PlanGrid
Assist Superintendents with maintenance of schedules and procurement of front-end submittals
Requirements
This is an entry-level position designed for undergraduate students and current employees who desire to grow into a management role (project management, superintending, scheduling, safety, etc.)
Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic understanding of scheduling and CMiC applications
Effective oral and written communication skills
Understanding of the basic construction administration processes, including construction documents, schedules, RFIs, submittals and material procurement
Effective written and verbal language communication skills
Takes initiative, strives for increased responsibility and has a desire to learn
Shows emotional maturity, punctuality and dependability
Shows the desire and willingness to progress to the Project Engineer role and responsibilities
Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all (client, design professionals, various WEO departments, WEO project team, inspectors, and subcontractors)

Physical Demands: Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to use construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction, when visiting a WEO job site. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear and stand throughout the workday. Work Environment: Regularly works in one of WEO’s California regional offices and on occasion may be required to visit the construction work site where the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
