About the role

  • Prepare owner pay applications and budget adjustments to the schedule of values
  • Manage Textura setup for new projects, create initial SOVs, and support subcontractors with Textura questions
  • Process and manage subcontractor invoices, approvals, and vendor listings
  • Coordinate stored material and tribal material invoicing and ensure required documentation
  • Verify subcontractor invoice templates and coordinate approvals prior to AP entry into CMiC
  • Manage billing for self-perform work (Chicago office) and compile joint venture costs
  • Maintain and update closing log and prepare outstanding voucher reports (OVR)
  • Handle joint checks, split pays, and ensure accurate entry into CMiC and Textura
  • Collect and track lien waivers, sworn statements, and preliminary notices
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with insurance, bonds, contracts, billing documentation, diversity, safety, prevailing wage, PLA, and union status
  • Coordinate tax forms and exemption certificates as required by project/location
  • Review routing packages, bill rate audits, payroll corrections, accruals, and cost transfers
  • Perform monthly GMP and joint venture reconciliations and add cost codes as requested
  • Complete and maintain project kick-off and close-out checklists
  • Support resolution of open account and subcontractor invoice disputes and escalations
  • Respond to project team, subcontractor, and client requests and assist with audits

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in construction or project-based accounting
  • Proficiency with CMiC, Textura, Box, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of construction pay applications, subcontractor invoicing workflows, and financial reconciliation
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic system issues and coordinate with support teams
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and contract requirements
  • Understanding of construction project lifecycles and financial workflows
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Customer service mindset and professional demeanor
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, high integrity, and proactive
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs
  • Use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, etc.)
