Temporary, intermittent Resident Engineer/Clerk of the Works for PMA Consultants, expected duration 30 days.
Work on-site observations and daily reporting on progress during construction phase.
Monitor and coordinate testing and inspection services full-time during the construction phase.
Communicate and collaborate with the Owner/Architect/OPM team to ensure project integrity and high-quality work product that meets contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
Maintain records at the OPM’s on-site field office, including written and electronic correspondence, contract documents, change orders, change directives, reports, shop drawings, project data, and samples.
Work assigned and approved by local leadership in accordance with client needs.
Requirements
Knowledge of field construction project management typically acquired by a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years’ experience providing Resident Engineer/Clerk of the Works project support, or 15+ years of field experience on construction projects.
Demonstrated abilities in communications (both verbal and written), multi-tasking with a high degree of accuracy, and judgment
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Working knowledge of E-Builder or the ability to learn.
Direct construction trade experience or knowledge is beneficial.
Prior municipal/public works project experience helpful.
Demonstrated record of timely job performance in support of normally expected construction work hours.
Ability to pass a CORI and background check is required.
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
