💰 $135,000 - $145,000 per year
About the role
- Lead and execute monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
- Oversee GL activities, journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist in interpreting contracts for proper revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Work with billing, RCM and data teams to reconcile platform and claims-based revenue.
- Partner with FP&A and operations to ensure accurate cost allocation across revenue channels.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and compliance teams.
- Ensure timely completion of annual audit, including PBC schedules.
- Support state sales/use tax, SUI and 1099 compliance.
- Support automation and system integration (NetSuite, Expensify, Bill.com, ADP, etc.).
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve reporting accuracy.
- Manage accounting staff (e.g., Payroll, AP, Revenue, Billing, Staff Accountants).
- Provide training and mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CPA or CMA required.
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience within healthcare, SaaS or tech environments a large plus.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., MS Products, NetSuite, Carta, ADPTS, Bill.com, Expensify, Divvy).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience managing accounting staff (Payroll, AP, Revenue, Billing, Staff Accountants).
