About the role
- Manage, develop, and grow assigned territory (Florida) to ensure LTC residents have access to promoted products
- Address customer needs for product education and coverage requirements through compliant engagement with long-term care prescribers, pharmacists, and nursing facility decision makers and staff
- Develop customer insights and critical relationships to increase awareness, appropriate use, and access of promoted products
- Utilize account management strategies to achieve goals and meet the needs of LTC care team members (PharmD, MD/NP/PA, LPN/RN)
- Educate physicians, mid-level practitioners, consultant pharmacists and nursing facility clinical and management staff on appropriate use of VIATRIS products
- Develop strong relationships with LTC customers including key opinion leaders (KOLs)
- Gain consistent access to appropriate healthcare provider touchpoints and build deep customer and practice knowledge
- Utilize sales aids, clinical reprints, and company materials per training; tailor resources depending on customer needs
- Identify and investigate customer concerns and coordinate with appropriate staff to solve problems timely
- Provide guidance around acquisition of VIATRIS products to customers
- Analyze and execute territory activities (calls, reach, frequency, business meals, speaker programs) to achieve business results
- Work within budgets and policy guidelines; prepare and submit timely business transaction reports and accurate expense records
- Develop and adjust quarterly business/action plans; communicate and collaborate with management and cross-functional teams
- Attend LTC conferences, trainings, exhibits, meetings, and product launches as required; take on leadership opportunities
- Remain compliant with all regulations and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or other related healthcare sales
- A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in the life sciences preferred
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales with a focus on long-term care preferred
- Combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration
- Previous experience with territory business management (budgeting and action planning)
- Experience executing all elements of sales implementation, including routing, call activity, and programming
- Previous experience with successful pull-through of products with restricted coverage access
- Adept at managing relationships with nursing facilities, staff, physicians, mid-level practitioners, consultant pharmacists, and dispensing pharmacy staff
- Demonstrated advanced selling skills and ability to dialogue effectively with customers
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required
