About the role
- Provides project/program management support to programs and/or projects ensuring that implementation and defined activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
- Manages projects/programs of varying complexity and size; participates on teams through Project Initiation, Project Planning, Project Execution, Project Monitoring and Control, and Project Closure.
- Ensures that the project plan, scope, work breakdown structure, schedule, risk, budget, and deliverables are in alignment with the project/program goals and objectives as defined by the statement of work.
- Facilitates the efforts of team members to achieve their project and/or task goals and initiatives; assigns resources and establishes program objectives.
- Develops program plans and facilitates resolution of issues to reach program goals; manages program budget to reach revenue, cost, and profit targets.
- Participates in client meetings, contract finalization, and development of requirements and specifications.
- Prioritizes, tracks and manages a portfolio of projects ensuring deadlines are met; monitors progress and adjusts schedules and resources to meet key goals.
- Identifies and minimizes risks and issues; escalates and mitigates as needed; facilitates and guides meetings and program planning.
- May provide planning, design and implementation support; may ensure successful integration of all project/program segments and serve as primary liaison with sponsors, customers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience leading large IT projects (50 - 100 FTEs).
- IT Procurement experience - Required.
- 10+ years of project management experience - Required.
- Significant experience supporting large IT programs within USCIS, TSA, USCG, Secret Service, or the Department of Justice (ideal).
