About the role
- Provides project/program management support to programs and/or projects ensuring implementation and activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives
- Manages projects/programs of varying complexity and size; assigns resources, establishes objectives, and monitors progress
- Participates in project phases including Project Initiation, Project Planning, Project Execution, Project Monitoring and Control, and Project Closure
- Ensures project plan, scope, work breakdown structure, schedule, risk, budget, and deliverables align with project/program goals and the statement of work
- Facilitates team efforts to achieve project and task goals; prioritizes, tracks and manages a portfolio of projects ensuring deadlines are met
- Monitors progress, adjusts schedules and resources, identifies and minimizes risks and issues, and escalates and mitigates as needed
- Manages program budget to reach revenue, cost, and profit targets
- Participates in client meetings, contract finalization, development of requirements and specifications; may serve as primary liaison with sponsors, customers and stakeholders
- Facilitates and guides meetings and program planning; may provide planning, design and implementation support and ensure successful integration of project/program segments and services
Requirements
- Experience leading large IT projects (50 - 100 FTEs)
- IT Procurement experience - Required
- 10+ years of project management experience - Required
- Experience supporting large programs within at least one of the following: Army, USMC, Navy, Air Force and DISA
- Experience participating in Project Initiation, Project Planning, Project Execution, Project Monitoring and Control, Project Closure
- Experience managing project scope, work breakdown structure, schedule, risk, budget, and deliverables
- Must verify authorization to work in the United States
