About the role

  • Hybrid Senior Quality Engineer supporting Boeing Defense, Space & Security; role within 50 miles of listed US locations and requires on-site presence
  • Work cross-functionally across BDS divisions, programs and sites to communicate quality requirements
  • Deep knowledge of Quality processes (LSC, CTC, MSE, PVAP, NCM, AIDR, GIDEP, BOI, IBN, EPES Surveillances, FAI, etc.)
  • Consult at business unit level to develop Quality criteria for programs/sites and supplier selection
  • Oversee development of processes, methods, tools and metrics to ensure quality and compliance; lead verification reviews and surveillances
  • Develop new methods for product/process validation and represent Quality in design reviews
  • Advise on testing/approval methods for products, processes, equipment and measurement systems to ensure manufacturing/test readiness
  • Perform benchmarking of enterprise best practices and lead cross-functional continuous quality improvement efforts
  • Lead integration of contractual and Boeing QMS requirements into proposals, program processes and documentation; develop quality metrics and certification plans; analyze non-conformance trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering; Computer Science; Engineering Technology; Mathematics; Physics; Chemistry; Data Science; IT; Biology; Environmental Science; Management Science; Quality Systems; Quality Assurance; Manufacturing Management; Life Sciences; Statistics; Aviation/Aerospace disciplines)
  • More than 5 years of experience performing analysis to identify and evaluate quality of products, operations and processes to QMS, company procedures, contract requirements and/or government regulations
  • More than 5 years of experience presenting and communicating data in Senior Leadership briefings
  • More than 3 years of experience with root cause corrective action
  • Subject matter expert knowledge (preferred): Line Stock Check (LSC); First Article Inspection (FAI); Cut the CoRRS (CTC)
  • Experience (preferred) with MSE, PVAP, WT, GIDEP, BOI, IBN, PQDR, SOOTs, EPES Surveillances, NCM
  • More than 5 years (required) in relevant quality roles; Level 5 preferred: 10+ years or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • More than 5 years (preferred) performing analysis to QMS requirements; more than 5 years in aerospace industry (preferred)
  • Must meet export control compliance (U.S. Person required); employer will not sponsor employment visa status
