About the role
- Support Managers and staff through formal case management processes including grievance, discipline, absence management, probation and capability
- Key HR role supporting resolution of a range of staffing situations across the University (circa 18,000 staff)
- Role involves coaching, influencing, conflict resolution, empathy and resilience
- Opportunity to identify organisational issues or themes and help develop managerial capability
- Base at the University’s Holyrood campus, Edinburgh; open to part-time, flexible and hybrid working (non-contractual)
Requirements
- Experience of working in HR at advisory level supporting formal HR casework at all stages of the process
- A sound knowledge of UK employment law
- Ability to evaluate complex situations and provide clear business focused advice
- Ability to co-ordinate and drive forward casework through excellent organisational and communication skills
- An interest in helping people through difficult situations, which will also require you to possess a high degree of personal resilience.
