Produce knowledge products (analytical research pieces, case scenarios, recommendations, reports, presentations, communication packages) to support the Asia-Pacific GCED Network
Prepare webinar concept, agenda and communications package; draft announcement and documentation of country experiences for GCED member-led webinars
Prepare concept notes, agendas, run-of-show, meeting packages and PowerPoint presentations for two network meetings with APCEIU; draft web articles and priority follow-up actions
Prepare inputs for the Asia-Pacific GCED Network 2025 Annual Report (max 7 pages plus annexes)
Prepare consolidated PowerPoint on network members’ experiences highlighting progress, achievements and recommendations
Prepare an analytic thematic report (max 3 pages plus annexes) on GCED network activities and synergies with 21st-century skills
Prepare proposal package for GCED Network activities for 2026 and evaluation report of 2025 activities
Ensure drafts align with UNESCO’s style guide and provide references/footnotes with links where possible
Integrate gender perspective and gender analysis in all activities
Work under overall authority of the Regional Director and direct supervision of the Programme Specialist in Transformative Education at UNESCO Bangkok
Home-based, remote work with requirement to be available for virtual meetings during Bangkok working hours; potential official travel funded per UNESCO rules
Requirements
Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in education, social sciences, communication, journalism, or related areas
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in education, policy, planning, projects, or teaching (experience with GCED and monitoring of learning or related topics)
Experience in developing and managing programmes, networks, and partnerships
Excellent IT skills; proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills
Ability to take initiative, provide quality and timely support, and work under pressure
Flexibility to adjust work schedules and priorities; ability to plan strategically and translate strategies into action
Capacity for accuracy and attention to detail in preparation of correspondence
Willingness to work as part of a multicultural team and contribute to peace and development
Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
Availability for virtual meetings during official working hours in Bangkok (UTC+7)
May be required to undertake official travel (agree to travel and arrange own travel if necessary)
Desirable: previous experience with international organizations (preferably the UN); experience in publishing
