About the role

  • Prepare, process, and submit legal invoices through multiple e-billing platforms (e.g., Collaborati, CounselLink, Legal Tracker, Tymetrix, etc.).
  • Review pre-bills and finalized bills to ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and rejections with clients and e-billing vendors.
  • Monitor e-billing portals for invoice statuses, appeals, and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate billing records, documentation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and the finance team to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Address client inquiries regarding billing and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
  • Keep up to date with changes in e-billing systems and client requirements.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes related to billing.
  • Provide support for audits and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; additional education in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in legal billing, preferably with electronic billing platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of legal billing processes and client guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Familiarity with LEDES billing format (preferred).
  • Ability to work with confidential information and maintain discretion.
