About the role
- Fill in for vacationing General Managers at U-Haul centers in your area, providing coverage as needed to deliver exemplary customer service
- Manage people and center operations, including staff supervision and scheduling
- Be responsible for financial results and customer satisfaction, including P&L accountability
- Perform U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program
- Ensure safety compliance and use protective equipment when required
- Work weekends and holidays and perform physical tasks required by the role (including moving a minimum of 50 lbs.)
Requirements
- 1-3 years of management experience in retail or other service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction
- Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) accountability
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record
- Able to work weekends and holidays
- Computer expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted
- Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors and use protective clothing or gear as required
- Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals (special safety precautions)
