About the role
- Responsible for net new customer acquisition and driving new revenue for a specific territory
- Solution selling and closing deals within Self Service accounts
- Work with customers across verticals to understand business and technical requirements
- Understand Twilio’s communications API platform and design solutions for specific use cases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Support) to address customer requirements
- Advise on digital communication strategies and help customers get started on the Twilio platform
- Balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects/deals simultaneously
- Build new processes and contribute to team playbook
Requirements
- At least 1 year of sales development/business development experience at a technology company or 1+ years of closing experience in another industry
- Understanding (or interest to understand) the cloud computing/communications business model
- Excitement for selling to a technical audience and solution-oriented selling approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical solutions selling experience and enjoys working with real customers
- High adaptability and comfort in a rapid-paced environment
- Based in Ontario, British Columbia or Alberta, Canada
- May be required to travel occasionally for in-person meetings
