About the role
- Provide daily support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel.
- Draft, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, and presentations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Handle confidential client and firm information with discretion and professionalism.
- Process expense reports, vendor invoices, and check requests using financial systems.
- Assist with billing, time entry, and liaising between attorneys and finance teams.
- Research client-related information and prepare background materials as requested.
- Manage phone coverage, greet visitors, and arrange conference room logistics, including catering when needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams on reprographics, document services, and other operational support.
- Take on additional projects and provide overflow support when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5-10 years of administrative or legal assistant experience in a professional services or law firm environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive matters.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed and be present in-office at least 4 days per week.
- Prior experience supporting senior-level attorneys or partners. (Nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with legal billing systems (such as Intapp or Chrome River). (Nice-to-have)
- Background in client relationship management and high-touch service. (Nice-to-have)
