About the role
- Lead and manage residential security teams for an executive family, ensuring all personnel are properly trained and performing at optimal levels.
- Establish and nurture strong working relationships with members of the private family office and key cross-functional partners to ensure seamless coordination of security operations, alignment with household protocols, and effective communication of security needs and concerns.
- Emphasize principal preference incorporation into the design and deployment of security operations across multiple estates.
- Liaise with the principals, private family office staff, vendors, and internal partners.
- Develop, implement, and enforce security protocols to maintain a secure environment.
- Conduct regular security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective measures.
- Work cross functionally with Protective Intelligence, Security Systems, and other key stakeholders and teams to identify and implement industry leading security solutions.
- Supervise and coordinate the response to security incidents, emergencies, and potential threats.
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and private security firms as needed.
- Provide protective services for the principal and family members, ensuring a seamless and non-intrusive security presence.
- Hold vendors accountable to SLAs and KPIs that you help develop.
- Responsible for strategy and implementation of security solutions at rental properties and future estate purchases.
- Conduct training sessions and drills for the security team to enhance preparedness and response times.
- Ensure all security team members adhere to confidentiality agreements and maintain the highest level of discretion.
- Maintain working knowledge of embedded medical programs within private family offices, ensuring seamless coordination with medical personnel and integration of emergency response protocols into the overall security strategy.
Requirements
- Experience working in a private family office environment.
- Experience working in high-net-worth or executive protection environments.
- Located in the Los Angeles area.
- Prior leadership experience in a security management role.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, access controls, and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent situational awareness, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- High level of physical fitness and the ability to perform security-related tasks as needed.
- Background check and security clearance may be required.
