About the role
- Provide comprehensive wealth management advice leveraging BNY Mellon’s Active Wealth framework.
- Manage, retain, and grow existing client relationships while self-sourcing new client relationships.
- Collaborate with Client Strategists and investment professionals to deliver full wealth management capabilities.
- Articulate investment outlook, define client goals and risk tolerance, and model investment proposals and asset allocations.
- Analyze balance sheets, align assets and liabilities for tax efficiency, and execute and manage portfolios.
- Pursue new business opportunities and generate revenue through increased flows and future fees.
- Serve in a consultative role to UHNW and HNW clients, including frequent in-person meetings.
- Ensure adherence to risk policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced Wealth Managers; no direct reports.
- Responsible for achieving organic growth (revenue, assets) and managing relationship profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- 10+ years of total work experience preferred, ideally in financial services focused on specific client types or products (e.g., Hedge, Pension).
- Prior experience in Relationship Management, Client Services, or Account Management.
- Experience advising UHNW and HNW clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly detail-oriented.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Business-development orientation and ability to self-source assets.
