About the role
- Define and execute the payer go-to-market strategy, including market segmentation, messaging, and commercial model refinement.
- Lead end-to-end payer and employer-sponsored plan partnerships - from initial engagement through contracting, onboarding, and long-term growth.
- Develop and refine value propositions for payers and employers, highlighting ROI, improved member experience, and contributions to health equity.
- Oversee all partnership activities for the payer vertical, including pipeline development, deal execution, and account management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, clinical operations, data) to ensure partner requirements are integrated into product development and delivery.
- Establish clear KPIs and performance dashboards to measure impact and success with payer partners.
- Serve as a market-facing leader at payer, employer, and healthcare industry conferences and forums, building Trial Library’s reputation as a trusted partner.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in payer partnerships, employer-sponsored plans, business development, or strategy in healthcare, digital health, or managed care.
- Proven ability to build, negotiate, and close contracts with health plans and/or employers.
- Deep understanding of payer incentives, risk-sharing models, and employer benefit strategies.
- Demonstrated success in leading go-to-market strategies for new products, services, or verticals.
- Exceptional relationship management and executive communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment with high levels of autonomy.
