Accounting Manager

• Overseeing complex accounting operations, ensuring GAAP‑compliant and timely financial reporting.
• Serving as a technical accounting authority for a portfolio of Transforming Age (TA) entities.
• Manages and oversees the full month‑end and year‑end close process for assigned Transforming Age (TA) entities.
• Ensures timely, accurate, and GAAP‑compliant financial reporting.
• Performs research, interpretation, and application of U.S. GAAP and documenting conclusions for complex and non‑routine transactions.
• Leads technical accounting analysis and conclusions for acquisitions and other complex transactions.
• Owns the preparation, review, and monthly sign‑off of all balance sheet account reconciliations.

Billing Specialist

• Ensures the financial success of the organization by performing full-cycle billing & help with collection procedures for skilled nursing facilities.
• Responsible for the full cycle of Accounts Receivable, including but not limited to private and governmental contracts for the skilled nursing facilities.
• Ensures all billing is being completed/submitted accurately, timely, and in accordance with set policies and procedures.
• Assists with private pay billing at other levels of care as needed.
• Participates in Accounts Receivable aging reviews with facility staff and Accounts Receivable Manager on a regular basis.
• Assists facilities in collection procedures on private and insurance balances.
• Proceeds with collection procedures in collaboration with Accounts Receivable Manager and facility team.
• Reconciles Accounts Receivable with general ledger and posts all cash receipts received to appropriate accounts.
• Coordinates with Accounts Receivable Manager and facility staff/management to ensure accuracy of records.
• Performs reconciliation of billing and collections and is able to identify unbilled or rejected services and accurately rebill.
• Assist facilities with various government audits including Medicare RAC audits and appeals as needed.

Senior Third Party Billing Specialist

• Manages and oversee the full month‑end and year‑end close process for assigned Transforming Age (TA) entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and GAAP‑compliant financial reporting.
• Serves as a senior technical accounting resource, performing research, interpretation, and application of U.S. GAAP within the FASB Accounting Standards Codification framework, and documenting conclusions for complex and non‑routine transactions.
• Leads technical accounting analysis and accounting conclusions related to acquisitions, affiliations, restructurings, and other complex transactions, including purchase accounting, opening balance sheet establishment, consolidation considerations, and intercompany eliminations.
• Prepares formal technical accounting memorandums supporting accounting conclusions for areas including revenue recognition, lease accounting, fixed assets and capitalization, impairments, contributions and donor‑restricted funds, and other significant or judgmental areas.
• Owns the preparation, review, and monthly sign‑off of all balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring reconciliations are complete, accurate, properly supported, and maintained in an audit‑ready state.
• Reviews and approves journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by staff, ensuring reconciling items are valid, timely resolved, and appropriately documented.
• Ensures the integrity of balance sheet accounts and financial statements through ongoing review, analysis, and corrective action as needed.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages for the affiliates or entities under your management.
• Partners closely with Financial Reporting, Tax & Compliance, Operations, and Finance leadership to ensure accounting treatment aligns with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and GAAP.
• Collaborates with external auditors by serving as a primary accounting contact, coordinating audit requests, providing support and documentation, and addressing audit questions and findings.
• Develops, maintains, and enforces accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Identifies and drives process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, standardization, and scalability of accounting operations.
• Acts as a key accounting stakeholder in system implementations and enhancements, including Workday Financials, ensuring accounting requirements are appropriately designed and executed.
• Directly manages, coaches, and develops accounting staff, setting clear expectations for quality, accountability, and technical rigor.
• Reviews staff work with a high degree of scrutiny, providing timely feedback and mentorship to elevate technical accounting skills and professional judgment.
• Collaborates cross‑functionally to support new initiatives, contracts, projects, and organizational changes, providing accounting guidance and financial insight.
• Serves as main contact for Executive Directors for the affiliates and entities under your management.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements with the assistance of your team members for all affiliates and entities under your management.
• Assists in other corporate functions such as intercompany transactions, investment accounting, Form 990 Tax Reporting, company projects, accounting research, etc.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

• Supports full‑cycle subcontract and job cost accounting across multiple construction projects.
• Manages pay applications, vendor invoices, bank reconciliations, job‑cost reviews, journal entries, tax filings, and monthly financial reporting.
• Works closely with project managers to ensure accurate costing and timely reporting.
• Supports detailed requests, presentations, and other high level to granular deliverables for the CFO, C-Suite, and major stakeholders of Transforming Age and GSI in relation to development projects.
• Maintain accurate job costing and perform routine reconciliations.
• Manage cash balances, payments, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financials, over/under billing schedules, and tax returns.
• Support audits, financial draws, and vendor documentation.
• May provide assistance on compliance related activities including various tax filing preparation and cost report preparation.
• Perform general Fixed Asset Management as needed.
• Support any month-end close, including carrying out all professional accounting activities.
• Prepares materials for internal and external audiences, including reports, worksheets, analyses, documentation and other supporting schedules for auditors, tax returns, regulatory agencies; prepares detailed findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
